What you will get from this book:
Ten Benefits of Reading This Book: 1) Become more capable of achieving your purpose as God's creation: We were created with the mental capacity to maintain a relationship with God at a level that not even the angels can attain. God created us with many of the same mental characteristics that God himself possess. That way we could relate to him as equals, and without distinction, at an intellectual and rational level. But, we usually squander and misuse our capacity to use these attributes. In fact, most people ignore, reject, or waste their potential; therefore, they are unable to maintain a relationship with their creator beyond a certain basic level. 2) Obtain original, revealing information for transforming and healing the reader's mind: The only requirement that Jesus demands from us is repentance. The word repentance in the original Greek Scriptures (metanoia) really means "a radical transformation of our minds". In other words, a reformation of our minds by replacing our undependable convictions, beliefs and suppositions for more accurate, rational information. God has a mind. A successful relationship with God is determined exclusively by how much we know and share God's mentality; his truth, values, mindset, goals, etc. An improved relationship with God produces a wholeness and peace that any amount of money can't buy. 3) Get an unbiased, non religious perspective of the mind of God: The ancient Greek philosophers acknowledged the existence of a superior rationality, evident everywhere in nature, which could only come from the mind of a creator. They called the Creator’s mind "logos" and we can know and understand the Logos through the observation of its attributes reflected in creation and through the use of reason. This is similar to knowing a painter through his paintings; although we might never have met the artist, his creation can tell us much about him. This is the approach taken by "The Truth ... According to the Mind of God!" to learn about God's mind. 4) Acquire a more accurate understanding of the Greek word "logos", as it relates to Christianity: The writers of the New Testament also had understanding of the term “logos”. They used it to describe Jesus. But this term has been translated in the Bible simply as "Word", and that is how Christians usually understand it today. But a member of the original Christian Church that existed 2000 years ago, educated in Greek philosophy, would have understood that Jesus as the Logos, first and foremost, represents God's mind. This book emphasizes Jesus as God's Logos, the way the original Christian Church did. 5) There are thousands of books about religion, religious philosophies and doctrines. But information about the mind of God itself is really scarce, and in most cases it is really about other related topics, like physics and God for instance. In that sense, "The Truth ... according to the Mind of God!" is unique. This book explains certain concepts and ideas that are just vaguely known and far from being fully developed into the world's culture. Organized religion should know much of this information, but it does not. 6) Why is it that in the Information Age, religion is the only field of human knowledge that still lives in an age of faith, reflecting mentalities and attitudes thousands of years old. Religion must fast-forward to the Information Age! and "The Truth ... according to the Mind of God!" helps the reader to do that. This book was written in an objective, independent manner with the intention of taking the subject of God from faith based to knowledge based. If knowledge of God is the sign of a good relationship with him, then human beings in general have a real bad relationship with God. 7) Why is it that still nobody (especially religious people, clergy, and philosophers) can offer clear answers for the following questions: - What is truth? - What does it mean that Jesus is truth? - What does it mean that God is truth? From a Christian perspective truth is important. For instance, Hebrews 10:26,27 says: For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment. Knowledge of truth is decisive in our salvation. "The Truth ... according to the Mind of God!" suggests original, clear concepts of truth, answering the previous questions. Truth is an abstract concept that has proved to be very difficult to conceptualize and determine philosophically and theologically, even for the experts. So difficult in fact that for many people truth has become whatever they want it to be. Nonetheless, truth has body, form, and definition. That is why the first chapter of "The Truth ... according to the Mind of God!" provides an excellent explanation of the concepts of relative and absolute truth, while successfully reconciling the philosophical and theological definitions of truth into one universal concept. The rest of the book is totally based on the concepts explained in this first chapter. That way the validity of any specific truth explained can be more accurately determined as much more than simply opinions or beliefs. The second chapter explains what does it mean that God is truth and Jesus is truth. No other book that talks about truth starts in such a way. 8) Providing an alternative to atheism and unreliable religious faith: Atheism claims to be rational and objective, while correctly accusing the religions of being based on emotional impulses and irrational or fanatical behavior. But this does not prove that there is no god. It just proves that God and religion are not necessarily the same thing. Two extremes can appear here. One claims to be rational and godless, while the other one can be emotional and fanatical in their beliefs in God. But there is a third option: rational theism or the belief in a god, which can be objectively understood through the faculty of reasoning that is present in all human beings. Therefore, with "The Truth ... according to the Mind of God!" the reader can learn what religion does not teach simply because it does not know. 9) Improving our relationship with God by understanding and sharing his mind and accepting his truth: One of the main goals of "The Truth ... according to the Mind of God!" is to help people understand the mind of God in order to improve their relationship with their Creator. Compatibility of the minds is the key in any good relationship. Many individuals associate sinning with real bad things that most people never commit, like murder for instance. But the fact that the Creator God assigned us to live in a tormenting place like this world, full of illness, tragedy, and suffering, suggests that God must not be totally happy with man. Logic indicates that either God is one very sadistic being or that we do not deserve any better than we have. Therefore, we should try to find out the reason why justice demands such measure and try to improve the situation. 10) The theory of everything is a theory of physics that explains and unifies together all known physical phenomena into one explanation. Confronted with so much confusion and diversity of ideas regarding the subject of God, "The Truth ... according to the Mind of God!" seeks to do the same thing that physics' theory of everything does, not only in the area of religion, but also including philosophy, law, psychology and sociology; as these subjects relate to our relationship with God. This book's pivotal idea is that our relationship with God is determined by the capacity of our minds to interact with his mind. |
